Here are some quick facts about the current state of the wizarding world.

• Hogwarts houses around 1,000 students which averages out to 36 students per house per year, although the population of certain houses ebbs and flows depending on the incoming students. There are other wizarding schools besides Hogwarts, Durmstrang, and Beauxbatons - other schools are simply not as large or notorious.
• The current population of the UK and Ireland is roughly 66,000,000. Of this, the wizarding population equals 66,000 (one in every thousand is a witch or wizard).
